The USAIGC/IAIGC OFFICE conducts Five Unique Competitions on Three Different Competitive Platforms Nationally and Internationally. Our Member Clubs host Sanctioned Competitions across the USA and Internationally.
The USAIGC moved in a different Competitive Direction when we created our Optional Only International College Bound Competitive Program in conjunction with our membership.
The Coach is responsible for: placing their gymnast in their correct initial competitive level, moving their gymnasts up our Competitive ladder based on their mastery of skills not a score. Our gymnasts do not have to move up to the next level in consecutive order.
Different Competitive Opportunities: allow our gymnasts to compete on their next competitive level up on two events preventing frustration of being “stuck in a level”. We also encourage individual event specialists.
State/Regional Championships qualification scores can be attained at any sanctioned competition, nationally or internationally. USAIGC/IAIGC Gymnasts can compete in either a State or Regional Championships or both Championships. The USAIGC/IAIGC believes a score on the east coast is the same as on the west coast, or Internationally. Our rules are the same and we feel confident with our USAIGC Officials.
State and Regional Championships serve specific purposes:
(1) bring sections of the country together to compete
(2) provide an additional opportunity to compete Regionally
(3) both Championships are World Championship Qualification Competitions
The USAIGC/IAIGC provides choices and opportunities for our gymnasts.
For the USAIGC/IAIGC it is as much about the experience of the competition as the competition itself. Our Gymnasts compete together in a competitive environment that fosters friendship develops successful healthy well-rounded athletes. This is what the USAIGC / IAIGC competitive program is all about!
