USAIGC Officials Compensation Package
USAIGC Hiring Policies
USAIGC Host Clubs/ Event Directors may call officials directly for their availability and employment. They may use the approved procedures set-up by their State Director with their memberships approval or they may work with an Official in hiring other Officials for their competition.

Officials Responsibility:
It is the responsibility of the official to fully understand the USAIGC compensation package and ALL USAIGC Rules & Policies.

Requirements To Judge USAIGC Compensation
Officials must have a current optional rating for the level(s) they are hired to judge. The USAIGC has no professional membership requirements for judging USAIGC sanctioned competitions. The USAIGC EXPECTS each official to fully understand the USAIGC Rules & Policies. Any questions please e-mail Mary Bakke-Spadaro

Uniform
Any combination of red, white & blue
Local, State & Regional Championships: Navy Blue Suit with a white blouse or Navy blue skirt with a white blouse. Dress Professional.

2009 - 2010 COMPENSATION PACKAGE
Travel
- No mileage fees are paid BUT USAIGC Meet Directors will pay all out of pocket expenses (gas, tolls, parking, etc,) as well as air travel and room accommodations when required.
Car Pooling by Officials is required.

Per Diem:
one session no meals, two sessions one meal, three sessions two meals, etc.  If food is not provided the Officials will go out to eat and present their receipt to the host club (including 15% tip) for re-imbursement.
No Head Judge Fees or any other fees than those delineated

Overtime Compensation (passed):
Competitions going over the three-hour time recommendation per session by 10 – 30 minutes (march-in, to last competitor), the Meet Director will pay each official $25.00 for overtime. If the time exceeds 3.5 hours an additional $25.00 shall be given to the officials for the next 30 minutes. We need to ensure that our competition sessions do not exceed 3 hours BUT if the overtime is due to an injury, unusual circumstance the Meet Director will not be obligated to pay the $25.00

Session length: maximum of 3 hours from beginning (march-in) to ending (last competitor) barring any injury or unforeseen circumstance.
Number of Athletes per session
Bronze & Silver – 64 Gymnasts per session
Gold – 56 Gymnasts per session
Platinum & Premier – up to 40 gymnasts per session
This is for a competition with 1 vault table, 1 set of bars, 2 balance beams, 1 floor
using our warm-up compete format. Double sets of equipment would allow a modification of the above recommendations – Meet Director must e-mail Paul Spadaro, with setup, numbers and time factor when using double sets of equipment.


Local Competitions - One Judge Panel
$125.00 per session
Max 64 Gymnasts per session for Bronze & Silver
Max 56 Gymnasts per session for Gold,
Max 40 Gymnasts Platinum & Premier

State & Regional Championships - Two Judge Panel
$100.00 per session
Max 64 Gymnasts per session for Bronze & Silver
Max 56 Gymnasts per session for Gold,
Max 40 Gymnasts Platinum & Premier
This compensation package puts the money in the judging time and takes care of out-of-pocket expenses for the officials.
